What Does Creativity and Water Have in Common?

Water and creativity

Water is essential for our survival as human beings. We can only live without water for about 3 days. The same goes for creativity; for companies’ survival they need creativity and innovation. Researchers say that it is essential to create and innovate for competitive advantage and continued existence.

Endless options

When I was brushing my teeth one evening I was thinking about water and how many purposes it has in my life. I for example use it to wash myself, my home, my clothes, my dishes, my teeth. I use it to have optimal air quality in my home, to relax (bath, sauna), to exercise in (swimming) and I like to run in the rain and make a snowman and snow angels :) So the options of using water are many.

The same goes for creativity, you can use it for several different things. You can solve problems, create a new dish for dinner, a new way of communicating for increased success, you can create a new product, a new look for your living room, a new painting, a new way to relax more and so forth. Creativity is a thought process that leads to new and useful things so the options of using it are endless :)

We all got it

The great thing about water and creativity is that we all got it, our body is mainly made up of water and researchers have found out that we are all creative.

How much water our body has depends on how much water we consume and the same goes for creativity. How creative we are depends on how much we use our talent.

Creativity is like a muscle that you can train to be stronger and like our body benefits from consuming water, our life benefits from our use of our creativity. We need to drink enough water regularly for softer skin, better digestion, increased focus and better health and we need to use our creativity for a healthier company and a better and happier life :)
